About Outcomes Star Core training
About
Core training is the essential Star training that all members of staff using the Star must complete. We offer this training face to face or remotely.
It is primarily designed to equip frontline practitioners with the knowledge and skills required to start using the Outcomes Star with the people they support. The course lasts for one day (6 hours learning time).
By the end of this training you will have:
- Been introduced to the Outcomes Star
- Explored using the Outcomes Star with service users
- Learned about action-planning and using the Outcomes Star
- Discussed the consistency of the Outcomes Star and next steps.
In-house Core Star training
This in-house option works well for many different organisations, and has the added benefit of a focused day with one of our expert Star trainers at your organisation. if delivered remotely via zoom, we can cater for twelve participants in one group. If delivered face-to face, we can cater for up to sixteen participants in one group.

Open Core Star training
We run open training throughout the year. This is an accessible option for small teams or individuals looking to complete Core Star training for any version of the Outcomes Star. Organisations can send up to three workers to open training. Open course are delivered remotely through the video platform ZOOM or TEAMS. We run at least one course a month.
In our open courses we welcome up to 12 people in one group and will focus on up to three different Stars. Please be aware that you will be working with others from different sectors and using different Stars.
Open Core Star training costs £240 per person, exclusive of VAT. All materials are included.
